Here are some close-ups of the cross stitch I added to Jude’s nursery. I love them.

The kitchen desk area
I wasn't going to post this until I got the shelves decorated the way I want but that might not be FOREVER so I thought I would post a picture anyway.

The wall behind the desk is corkboard and there is a light under the shelves (curt's favorite part). Now if we just had an IPad sitting there....anyway I think Curt did an amazing job - can't wait to see what his next project is.

The coolest boys room ever.

I never thought I would regret buying our boys bunk beds until I saw this room. It is so perfect - I love the lights by each of the beds and the rope hanging by the ladder. It is a little boys dream. More pictures and explanation of how they made things here.

Opinion please...
So i got a little obsessed with these bread boxes from target and realized that they fit perfectly on my little counter section of my kitchen. I kind of really really love it but am afraid it is a little too much - what do you think? It makes my junk area so clean!

Mom these are a couple of the files I downloaded that I can cut on my cricut with that new program.

I also just bought this tablecloth from Ikea for valentines. It is a lot cuter without the tacky plastic cover but with my kids.....

My favorite christmas decor
I have to share it with you because I have no friends here to see it.

This is the original banner I ordered online that I used as a pattern for the other ones.

These next two I ordered from CB2 this year. I love the hanging tea light holders.

Ian wanted you to know he has also been doing lots of projects lately.

The sister-in-law uber blog
So I have wanted to post some recent projects...I know it should have been one at a time, but at least I am getting these up! You may not want to look through all of them, but I just wanted to document that I have actually attempted some creative projects in the past few months. I may not cook or craft like a Clay yet, but I will!
Apple pie from yummy New York apples courtesy of Kathy!
My first lasagna EVER!!! You can't really tell by the picture, but it really was a masterpiece.

I made these sugar cookies for my piano students for Halloween. Basic sugar cookie recipe, but I really liked making a good glaze--tip of the day: use meringue powder with powdered sugar and milk to make the icing harden and smooth out like this.

This was my biggest project...finding a way to organize my music books. I had them all lined up in a box in the corner and decided it was time for some shelves. We found this at Target and Dave put it together for me to then decorate...

My first real experience with decoupage! The finish on the wood resisted the glue and that created a lot more air bubbles than I wanted...I should sand it next time but I'm happy with it nonetheless. I cut the note out freehand from some stiff craft felt. You can't see the sides from this picture but they are decoupaged with different colors and then overlaid with strips of sheet music I cut up for the occasion. the top is a solid collage of sheet music. And of course, it's purple. what could be better??
