I didn't know how long to cut the fabric to be ruffled, which is why the center one is sooo long. I meant it to be longer than the side two, but I think next time I'll maybe make all of them a little shorter. Ame and Ash, couldn't one of you be having a girl so I could have an excuse to make more of these!?

Latest Projects
I fancied up this sweater a little. Remember that post about making old things new and fun (here is the tutorial for this sweater)? I think that is a good idea. I also learned how to make sweaters fit better from the grosgrain blog, have fixed two sweaters and wear them all the time now.

This project has been sitting in my closet for about 9 months (the board that is). Ian and James kept fighting over who would conduct family home evening so I decided it was time to do it. I cut out the vinyl lettering on my cricut. If anyone is interested in making one I am happy to cut some out for them.

Also, I did my first project out of the One Yard Wonders book I got from ashley for Christmas. It was surprisingly easy and fun.

I've been working on Ian and James Valentines cards but you will have to wait for that. Lets just say I am pretty excited about how they turned out.

Grosgrain
Since I got a new sewing machine for Christmas I have been thinking about what my first projects of the new year will be. One of my goals is to learn to sew some clothing - and I found this blog called Grosgrain and love it. Her things are all very anthropologie inspired and she refashions a lot of old things and makes them new. It is now in the side bar (check out the button on the side of her blog that says "embellish your knits month").

Not to mention a tutorial on how to make felt balls. Finally.

Three things
1. If we made these for family reunion I might actually be excited about going.

2. Ashley - you have to make this dress for parker or I might be forced too (and for megs bebe too). Without the map of italy. Free pattern found here.

3. And for all you preggers out there - isn't this darling, even with a tee shirt underneath. Free tutorial here.
