I Did It!

Hey you guys! I finally busted out my new (never been used until now...) sewing machine and sewed my apron together! Woohoo! As you can tell, I'm pretty excited. This is the first thing I've sewed without help from anyone.

So here are a few pics of it. Yeah, don't mind me looking super crappy. Also, I don't know what I was thinking this summer when I cut out the medium size instead of the large. Seriously. I was delusional. So it looks kind of funny on the top because it isn't very wide but....I don't care.

And the sewing on it really is NOT very good. But it works. I figured I wouldn't try to be a perfectionist on my first project. Plus, I dunno what I was thinking by using white instead of brown. I guess I wanted to show off everything I did sloppily.

But it really doesn't matter when you've got fabric as cute as this.

I probably wouldn't have even been able to do it if Rik hadn't come over and been there to help me set up my sewing machine to use. Seriously. Thank goodness for Rik. After she helped me, she worked on this. It's wall art using fabric! Cute, huh? We found it in her new sewing book. She left me the other half of the board, so that is my next project. I'm thinking birds....

P.s. Those are supposed to be lemons in a fruit bowl, if you couldn't tell.
