Is it too early to be thinking about Easter decorations?

Because I think these are so cute. Even though I don't know how to knit. But you could make them out of fabric, right? Found here at Purl Bee and you can find instructions here.

Chocolate Bread Pudding

This is what I am making for dessert for tonight. It is one of my favorites, and really easy.

1 tablespoon butter, plus more for baking dish
8 slices (8 ounces) cinnamon-raisin bread
2 cups milk
3 ounces semisweet chocolate
2 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter an 11-by-7-inch (or 9-inch square) baking dish; set aside. Toast bread (in the oven or toaster) until lightly crisped.

In a medium saucepan, combine milk, chocolate, and butter; place over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate has melted, about 5 minutes.

Tear bread into large pieces (about 4 or 5 per slice); scatter evenly in prepared baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Whisk in warm milk mixture until combined. Pour over bread.

Bake until pudding has puffed and is firm, about 25 minutes. Cool at least 10 minutes, and dust with confectioners' sugar just before serving.

Nicki made all these beautiful decorations for our RS Birthday Luncheon. She wanted her sisters to see that she is crafty, too. Small ones taken home, large ones to be used again in RS. We sat at the table that represented our birthday. So beautifully done! Thanks Nicki!

These party things are so cute - and this website has all the downloads (free) so you can print them yourself.

I found this brick pattern in Quilt Magazine FEB/MAR 2010 and loved it. The one in the mag. was all oranges, greens, pinks and yellows, but I had to add some blue because Marc doesn't like greens in particular and it is going to be our new Spring and Summer quilt. I already had most of the material so I just had to buy a couple of florals. This pic is with the flash but the colors look more muted in the sunlight. I think I am going to LOVE it when I get the next half of it finished. It does take some time to lay out the blocks, but no time at all to sew it together. What do you think, girls?

Remember when ashley posted this pattern for me? I made it in about an hour - so easy.

The quilt took me a lot lot longer. I am not very good with big projects because I "have" to finish them and then they take over my life. So glad it is done!
