Mini-Terrariums

These candle holders are only $4 from CB2. I love that someone put a plant in one of them, I think that would be so cute hanging outside, or depending on the plant, inside.

Flowers

Cami- these flowers would be so cute attached to headbands or just as clips. I think you need one of the looms from Purl.

Here is the other quilt I made just like the last one. The first one was my experimental one, this one came out much neater.

This one is for my friend Sheila from NC. She doesn't have any babies so I meant it just to be a wall hanging. It has different fabric on the back, and a little tag telling who its for and who it is from.

Americana Baby Quilt

I had some extra Americana prints and wanted to try out this pattern.... and here it is. The Purl Bee's Triangle tutorial makes it so so easy, and for the double fold binding I used a couple of different tutorials that can be found Here and Here.

The hardest part for me is machine quilting and trying to get the layers to stay where I want them.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this blanket, but the next one I make for someone I'm definitely going to try this. She just took printable fabric, wrote this on her computer, and sewed it onto the corner for her little girls quilt. So easy.

I have some already started projects I need to finish, but this quilt is definitely in my future, hopefully in time for Christmas.

More Bunnies

This is the last of them, I swear. The one on the left I already sent to Nicki to replace her long lost bunny, and the blue one is for whoever has the next boy... which is apparently not going to be me. In fact I might have to make another girl one.... crap.

Grilled Chicken and Veggies a la Marc and Tom. They wanted this blogged so the girls could see what a fine job they did cooking and serving dinner Memorial Day. It was yummy.

Peanut Butter Trifle

I made this for a baby shower last week and got several requests for the recipe - so since I had to type it out any way I figured I might as well post it. It is good - so good!

Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle

1 fudge brownie mix (9x13 pan)

1 pkg. 10 oz peanut butter chips

2 pkg miniature peanut butter cups

4 cup cold 2% milk

2 pkg (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding

1 cup creamy peanut butter

4 tsp vanilla extract

3 cartons (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Prepare brownie batter according to instructions; stir in PB chips. Bake in greased 9x13 pan at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Cool on wire rack – cut into ¾ inch pieces.

Cut PB cups in half; set aside 1/3 for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes or until soft set. Add PB and vanilla; mix well. Fold in 1 ½ cartons of whipped topping.

Place 1/3 brownies in a 5qt. glass bowl; top with 1/3 remaining PB cups. Spoon 1/3 pudding mixture over top. Repeat layer 2x. Cover with remaining whipped topping; garnish with reserved PB cups. Refrigerate until chilled.
